I visited as a late summer get away with the kids. There were 6 of us in the 'Hideout' apartment. Having searched through Expedia, the price was great! We brought supplies for breakfast, snacks and hot drinks with us. The apartment is really funky with its 'upside down, basement' design. 2 shower rooms made easy work of getting sorted every day. Location to Albert Docks and the cultural centre was brilliant, less than 10 minutes to walk there.
Parking is on Qparc multi story, literally a block from the apartment! Discounted rate of £10.50 per day.
The not so goods? The approach is down a small side street which is home to large commercial bins which randomly interrupt your route. We were rudely awoken at around 6am by said bins being emptied! The street is also some kind of outside toilet facility to the masses and the aroma as you walk down it is really unpleasant.. Now, I get what you're all thinking; "Epic can't control for that!" No, they can't, but in collaboration with the local council, these issues could be raised and targeted. It is very off putting!
The TV signal in the apartment was awful! We didn't want much TV, but in the evenings after we'd returned from our exploits, we did! The signal didn't reach the unit efficiently and although we reported the problem, it couldn't be fixed and so we were granted a hefty discount on our stay, thanks epic!!
There is a visible damp issue which also creates a smell & humidity.
