8/10 Good
"What worked well Very convenient location, situated across the road from the promenade and close to the pier and funfair. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy. What could have been better Parking at the hotel was very limited, so we were unable to park there. I booked an executive room, but it felt fairly average. The room was very basic, more like a Travelodge, and did not feel worth over £200 per night. Breakfast was below average, especially the cooked breakfast. However, we did have a nice meal in the restaurant. Overall judgement The location is excellent, but for the price, the room and breakfast did not meet expectations."

The Royal Victoria Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"A one night stay to allow my son and I to stay over after climbing Snowdon. Perfectly located, a premium was paid because of this. A simple twin bedded room in the coach house, ideal for our needs. A bath was appreciated, bubble bath would have been a nice touch. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. This was consistent throughout the hotel, especially the young man serving in the bar in the evening and also a waitress at breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was self service and substantial. Highly recommended. An all round excellent stay, £166, breakfast included and free parking."
