"We had a lovely stay at the Mercure Telford. The location was fabulous as it was so close to the Telford Centre for great shopping. The staff were very helpful and the gala meal we had there that evening was equally well served. The room we had was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All in all it was a great stay."

"We received a very warm welcome from the staff when we arrived plus a very welcome glass of water as we checked in. The hotel is very well situated to explore Ludlow and the surrounding countryside, it sits an easy 10 minute stroll into Ludlow, crossing a very picturesque bridge beneath the walls of the castle and offering a dramatic view of the castle as you approach. We had a lovely first evening meal at the hotel, the menu is appropriately short and the wine list very good, a very nice touch is the offer of a number of wines by the carafe, great for couples. Breakfast is served in the light filled conservatory and again had a good selection of cereals and cooked dishes, with vegetarian options. Staff were really helpful and on hand to advise on places to visit nearby. All in all a very nice place to stay."
