"Lovely location and grounds, old country house, felt a bit like being in Downton Abbey! Some aspects of room a bit tired - cracked chipped tiles in bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, nice swimming pool and gym. Information about the hotel and a map in the room would have been helpful."

"Arrived at hotel to find it closed due to housing refugees. Neither the hotel nor yourselves contacted me prior to arriving there with this information. We had travelled quite a distance to attend a family function, all hotels in the area were fully booked, therefore the four of us (2 in our sixties and 2 in their eighties) ended up sleeping on relatives sofas. This is totally unacceptable on all counts. This is the 1st time I have used Hotels.com and the service provided does not encourage me...
