The hotel facilities also did not disappoint - the spa was a good way to start the day, whilst the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. "Had a lovely stay. We were a couple and had the family room which gave us lots of space…staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Easy walking distance in to York. On site parking . Enjoyed out two night stay. Would recommend the hotel."

"Excellent location. Friendly staff. Our room was great for our 4 person family and the view or the river from our room was lovely. The only thing I would mention about our room, specifically number 336, was that there was a hole near one of the baseboards and it looked like it needed a bit of TLC."

"Staff friendly and efficient, despite having a large but very well behaved french school party. My double room was "cozy" and would have been a squeeze for two people with 18 in bed/wall clearance one side and 30 in bed/sloping wall the other. Ok for single occupation. Access to the room was a maze."
