Nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant Staff was really good. Overall I would stay here again!

Was not sure what I would find at Rio because I have not been there in so long. The property is in excellent shape, the room was great, the bed was comfortable.

I was very surprised to see that the Hotel did not supply an electric kettle and tea/coffee/creamer sachet in the room. We are a tea drinker. We need our tea every morning. I had to go down hunting for hot water and creamer every morning which was a major inconvenience and embarrassing to say the least. I would expect such a basic thing from such a big and reputed hotel.

Very easy to get to & staff was very helpful! Rooms were very clean with great room service provided, they came in every morning & left everything clean! Casino was accessible along with other stores provided in lobby area!!

This place did the job we needed for one night, it’s a casino hotel that you have to walk through to get to the elevators. Elevators are rickety (not my favorite) and one jammed on one of our rides. Reeks of cigarette (no surprise, it’s a casino) Beds are rock hard. Pool closed at 5pm???? You can’t take a luggage cart from the lobby up- huge downfall for us Oh my gosh it took 15 min from floor 12 to get to our car on level 6 in the parking garage… unless there was a faster way (which there wasn’t) it was kind of insane. I don’t gamble and was really looking forward to the pool, so when we checked in at 5 and found out at 6 that it was closed it was a huge bummer. Bathroom was nice enough and beds were clean. For price and location I’d give a 5/10

Nice hotel, clean and well located

If you are a light and sensitive sleeper, bring ear plugs. I am not at all, so the rattling and squeaking window AC unit was not a problem for me. The AC unit worked so well. Never used the heater. For two full beds in the room we had a lot of floor space considering it being NY. The elevators are small and have no AC. The lounge is pretty. It’s greatly located. A short walk down to Times Square. It’s was noisy at all in the hotel and even though the beds weren’t great to sleep in, if you do NY right, it won’t matter and you will sleep just fine. They provide soft blankets to sleep with which has been a first for me and a nice touch. Safe, iron and board, tv, small table and two chairs. The bathroom was obviously small but still doable with 4 women on the trip. There is a lack of outlets so bring a power strip or something. Smooth check-in and check out. There was one staff member who seemed grumpy and we would avoid but the rest were great.
