"We have been to Cancun area many times and this was our first time at this resort. The entrance was beautiful, and the staff was helpful. We booked with Expedia and seemed to get a better service due to this! They did try the timeshare bid, but were not pushing when we said no. We also booked an excursion on site, very easy and helpful. We were assigned a concierge and they decorated my room beautifully for my sons 15th birthday. Balloons, desert, signs, we loved it. This was free. You can tell this is off season so the resort was not full, but we still loved it! El Guacho restaurant had great food, the wait staff was not the best. The property is older and well kept, but you can still tell older. There was sargasso on the beach but they were consistently cleaning, and we were able to enjoy a clean beautiful beach during our stay. The buffet had alot of options and the shows were entertaining and there is alot of walking! The animals on the property and jungle were amazing. The swim up bar closed early at 6pm, and so did towel service, which was not fun. Some wait staff were not helpful, and only wanted to give bare minimum info, but there were only a few. Family friendly and big, lots to see ! The budget friendly matches the resort. Loved our stay, depending on your price range, worth the money!"

"Heaven an earth. This was our 3rd trip to Palmaia and it never disappoints. The only thing i wish was different is some of the food offerings. Being our 3rd time in a 5 year period, i don’t think any of the food has ever been different. Luckily, it tastes excellent."

"After booking we were immediately contacted by the hotel wondering about our expected arrival time, and the detailed directions on how to arrive at the hotel. That was an unexpected surprise and very welcomed. When we opened the arrival gate we were amazed by the natural beauty of the grounds, trees, plants, waterfall into a refreshing pool, so awesome. Then we opened the door to our room…. Spectacular! The thought put into everything. King sized bed with beautiful bedding. Towel art. Wood, stained glass, art…everything is so beautiful. Two relaxing chairs out the door. Pool towels, coffee, water, mini fridge. Storage everywhere. Skib toured us around the property and wow, every room was as beautiful as the one before it. Internet was great. We only spent two nights there and wished we could have enjoyed it a bit more but we spent a full day at Xcaret Park which is so close and convenient to the property. We will definitely return!"

"This property is a must for couples with kids and close to all the attractions. Carlos, the owner is a great host and rolls out the carpet for you. The pictures don’t do justice for this property, you have to experience it in person to enjoy its unique look and feel. The pool is great and the downstairs master bedroom was spectacular. All rooms in this house are decorated with Mexican flare. We will come back and stay in the future, for sure. Thank you Carlos for sharing your home!"
