We enjoyed our two night stay here at the Amelia Hotel by the Beach! Great location across from the beach, clean rooms, nice breakfast and near several places to eat!

I liked that the hotel was just across from the beach. I didn't like that there were toothpaste spatters on the bathroom mirror and dirty sheets on one bed. The housekeeping crew had already left for the day but the lady at the front desk gave us some Windex, paper towels and clean sheets and we handled it because, if they moved us we would have had to play " musical rooms" all weekend and that's not what we came to the beach to do.

I loved the location because all we had to do was walk across the street to the beach. The beach location has a restroom, boardwalk and a parking lot. There are several restaurants across the street buuut Sliders across the street can be noisy at night if you’re in a street side/beach side room. This is a great stay!!

The location is ideal for all that is in Fernandina (walkable). We did have issues with the TV, and although the hotel can't control this, we witnessed a lot of people not staying at the hotel parking in their lot and more importantly, participating in their free breakfast. They also seemed a little short staffed (like everyone else) which resulted in slow response time from the front desk. But, we would definitely stay there again.

Great location across from the beach. You only have to cross the street and you are there. The rooms were clean, the staff was cordial. Housekeeping is only after the 3rd night unless requested. Breakfast was delicious the first morning (Sunday) and was a standard breakfast the rest of the week we were there. They have a small gift shop in case you forget anything and are a quick drive from the shopping district.

The property is neglected - the faucet in our room was loose, the toilet was rocking, baseboards haven't seen cleaning and painting in a while. Internet was in and out all the time - impossible to work. It's not a huge investment to solve the problem. The guy at the front desk knew about the problem but kinda just shrugged his shoulders when asked... The staff is welcoming but not sure if they really care.

Room was not ready upon arrival 2 1/2 hrs. Room smelled like skunk weed. Instructed to leave on vent fan. A/c works good but cant leave fan on to aid in sleeping (personal pref) small pool. Liked close to beach and some good eats.

Property was very close too the water. Staff were very friendly. You can tell it's a older building no big deal. But our room had a few problems the hall light would flicker and shut off. The tub wouldnt fully turn off so it steady drip. Neighbors too the right had a dog that barked all night.... Is what it is. We got the room short notice for a little get away. Sheets and bedding were clean we were happy with that.

View was great, needs renovation, the fitted sheet did not fit the mattress therefore it came off and the mattress cover looked like it had blood on it. And now I found two bug bites on my leg hoping that it’s not from bed bugs.

Nice, clean, quiet, well-kept hotel a stone's throw from the beautiful, clean beach. Excellent hot breakfast each morning. Walkable bars and restaurants. Bikes and beach chairs/umbrellas for rent across the street.
