"Everything was great, except... upon checkout of one member of my family the staff at the front desk was making unreasonable requests about a beach towel card, to the extent of threatening to not let her leave the property, while her airport shuttle was waiting outside. His whole attitude changed when I stepped in and started speaking in clear English. That is wrong!"

"Beautiful Luxury Villa on the ocean!This house is big and luxurious. It’s much nicer than it looks in the photos. The pool is perfect for any type of use, kids playing or just hanging out. In August the pool was warm and perfect in the evening for a night swim. The kitchen is large and nice. The bedrooms are all lovely and have nice bathrooms attached. The hosts were helpful and responsive. There are good AC split units in all the bedrooms and main living area. There’s lots to do in the playa del Carmen area. It’s very safe and tourist oriented, In a good way. The sargassum seaweed was present during our trip but we knew about this before we came. Since it is cleared from the beach the smell isn’t too bad. It doesn’t come into the house. The house is a 10 minute walk from the gate of the Playacar neighborhood and from there, there is a 20 block promenade with shops and restaurants."

"Sunset Fisherman is the best kept secret in Playa del Carmen/Playacar Phase 1. The beachfront property is awesome, tucked away, secluded, serves great food, has excellent staff who go out of their way to remember your name every time you visit and assist you with everything you could possibly need or want. It’s not super fancy but the resort makes up for it by offering free kayaking, catamaran rides, activities, and a general sense of warmth & welcome as. Just always feel at home here!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Playa Car at Villa Pearl. Mauricio was very quick to respond to our requests - be it for a taxi or restaurant suggestions or other outings. His communication was almost immediate. The house was clean and the house keepers were there everyday keeping things tidy and us with fresh towel"

"Pamela was very helpful with all kinds of "need to know" information before and during our stay. When things came up she was quick to remedy the situation. The condo was clean, well furnished, and included things we did not pack in our luggage like an ice chest. We visited at a time when there was a lot of sargassum (seaweed) washing up on the beach each day. This meant that playing in the waves or walking the beach near the condo was out. We did not let that ruin our vacation! There are still beautiful sights to see and fun things to do! We explored the ruins of Tulum, swam in the Aktun Chen cenote, did ziplines and swam in another cenote at Xcaret, took the ferry over to Cozumel to go snorkeling (the sargassum only affect half of the island), and wandered the shops of Playa. The condo still has an amazing view and was very comfortable! We would definitely like to return!"
