The size of the rooms were great. Plug sockets next to the beds would be ideal. The EV chargers in the Quayside multi-storey were decommissioned so we had to use those at the Hilton

The staff are very helpful and friendly and good at their jobs including reception staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff. Breakfast is lovely and fresh with lots of choice and staff warm and efficient. Great location as you can walk out onto the Quayside area and the Millenium Bridge. No traffic. View of river. No traffic noise in rooms. Lovely clean rooms with plenty of hot water. Efficient room service.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet. Little noise from traffic or people. Loads of hot water. Lovely clean sheets. Delicious fresh varied breakfast. Really nice to walk straight out of the hotel onto Quayside. Fresh milk and a tea pot in the room would have made it perfect ! Staff really friendly and quick room service.

Loved this hotel and the view of the bridge. Very clean, really friendly staff, lovely breakfast, comfy bed, excellent WiFi (we had a teenager with us!) Quite a noisy venue just across the road, partying into the night, but didn’t really bother me 😊

The lighting in the dining room was such that, combined with a menu printed in small, light text, made it difficult to read without the aid of a torch. We weren't the only diners using mobile phone torches to read the menu.

Overnight stop off in Newcastle
We stayed at Malmaison Newcastle overnight whilst visiting family. Our room was fine and the staff friendly, as we were meeting up with family we did not use the dining facilities. We would definitely stay there again.

From check in to check out staff were friendly efficient and helpful the breakfast and dinner staff were also attentive and welcoming. One or two areas of the hotel starting to look a little in need of redecorating but didn’t spoil our stay.

New Years Eve stay
Fantastic location in Newcastle Quayside.. ideal to go to see the laser show. Lovely old building and bar area is elegant and cosy with lots of sofas Our room wash really big and the bed was really comfortable. The only negative was the room decor was a bit bland and the lighting made it quite dark. Bathroom was small and they provided built in shampoo and body wash but no body lotion which I would expect in a good hotel. Hand wash beside sink and a shower cap but that’s it .. take your own toiletries. No drinking water provided in bottles… again which I’d expect .. but coffee bags and usual tea bags are there Breakfast which we added onto the room rate was fantastic Over all a great New Years Eve stay
