"We stayed two nights, top floor. As it was a hot two nights, a fan was necessary to keep the room temperature down. The room was clean, bed comfortable. Shower was a bit tricky to use (Tower Room). Staff was very helpful bringing our luggage up stairs and down when we departed. It's is a beautiful classic facility, but is showing age."

"While we were only here for two nights, the hotel was perfect for the end of our 5-week journey. It was convenient. It was not too touristy. The rooms were sufficiently big enough and clean. The staff were amazing from the hotel desk clerks to the waitresses to the restaurant/bar managers. We really felt special and spoiled."

"Upon arrival, the hotel grounds are well-presented & maintained, with a welcoming entrance. The decor is stylish, and the building feels contemporary & clean. Our room was very spacious, with a really comfortable bed, all amenities required and a modern bathroom. A genuine highlight for me was the lit mirror that also has Bluetooth - meaning music while we showered and got dressed! Breakfast is a generous spread of high-quality hot options - thick cut bacon, homemade hashbrowns, eggs to order - to cold choices of smoked salmon, meats, fruits, yoghurt, cereal, scones & more! I also noted a really great gluten-free range. The coffee is delicious and the fresh juices were lovely too. Possibly one of the best hotel breakfasts I have enjoyed. The staff were also very attentive, clearing plates, replenishing stock & helping out clientele. As an avid gym goer, the fitness suite was an important fixture, and it was perfect to get a good workout in. There is a mix of cardio equipment, a range of dumbells up to 30kg, benches, a few weighted machines, cables including lateral pull down, & a smith machine. Easily got a good workout in. The pool is relaxing, the sauna, steam and hot tub are great too. Very chilled vibe. One downfall for me was that upon booking, I wasn't made aware that spa treatments weren't available - and I was planning on booking some in."

"Great friendly staff, willing to help and make the stay the best possible. Hotel was undergoing some renovations, a good thing, but did make unavailable some portions. The restaurant was excellent and the waitstaff was terrific. Room was clean and comfortable. The gym had mostly cardio equipment, some free weights and a universal machine. However it was stuffy and not air conditioned (making it smell more like a gym) and had no fan, making it uncomfortable to use, so I didn't stay long. Other than the disappointment in the gym, the rest was really wonderful and I would stay there again"

"I cannot say enough about how good My stay was. Staff were by far the best I have ever seen. Hotel and the room were spotless. Every Morning I had a traditional Irish Breakfast which was delicious. Unfortunately, there was Heatwave when I arrived 30c which even for an American from New Jersey is Hot. I would have been and Idiot If I had expected air conditioning due to the fact temps like that are extremally rare and if they happen at all it would only be a few days every summer. But they did the verry best they could and put 2 fans in My room which helped a lot. I left My Balcony door open at night which also cooled things off a lot. Bar was also Friendly and the Bar tender went out of his way to be nice to the patrons. Also. Its just a quick cab ride into the city center by bus or taxi. I recommend for travelers from all parts of the world."

"This place was clean, quiet, and safe, and is in a pretty setting near/on estate lands. Very convenient from the highway for access to local tourist spots and Shannon Airport. The hotel is super large and sprawling. It seems to be very popular with young families. At our Expedia rate it was pretty basic in terms of amenities. We took a look at the breakfast, which wasn't included in our rate, and it also seemed basic, so we gave it a pass. Great local bakeries and other spots to choose from though, so that shouldn't stop you. Good value overall."
