"The location and accommodation was superb, a perfect venue for our Christmas Murder Mystery themed 70th birthday celebration. The panelled walls, four poster beds, and quirky layout of stairs-cases and so many different rooms kept adults and children intrigued. We had a chef cooking for our party who valued the fully equipped kitchen. The owner John responded to every query quickly and effectively and the housekeeper and security/ maintenance guy were very helpful both prior to our stay ( allowing visits and answering queries) and actually on the day ensuring everything was ready for us, including making sure the whole house had a festive feel. "

"The room was great. We stayed in 1A. Clean and spacious. Just needs a mirror in the room so you dont have to stand with bathroom door open when drying hair. Breakfast was yummy. Plenty of continental to choose from. Staff very courteous and professional. "

"The evening receptionist was lovely, friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable, the en suite was clean, there was a portable heater when it got a little cold at night. On the first night of my stay the single room I was given did not have a kettle so the receptionist changed it for a room with a kettle at no extra charge to me."
