"Beautiful property and most of the staff are very nice with just one notable exception. The bar man is moody and borderline rude the way he treats his customers unless they happen to be American in which case he's quite chatty for some reason. The rooms are fairly basic with wardrobe space but no drawers. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms so if you need a drink you have to pay €5 for a cup of tea if the bar is open,otherwise do without. The rooms have a nice little balcony and the hotel garden and pool is lovely but there were many mosquitos. Unfortunately our bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable"

"This is a lovely hotel around a mile from Stresa town centre overlooking lake Maggiore. Staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and clean with air conditioning. Breakfast is excellent. The walk to the town is beautiful with views all the way of lake Maggiore."

"Excellent location! Just 5 min walk from train station and 2 min walk to Lake and promenade. Staff was very friendly. The only downside was a very small shower with no tray to put soap or shampoos. You have to either hold them or put on the floor."

"We loved every single thing about this beautiful hotel. It sits majestically nestled in an elevated position overlooking lake Maggiore with attractive well maintained grounds. The staff were excellent at every stage and incredibly obliging. The food including breakfast was delicious. Every Thurs night is a wonderful barbecue out on the terrace with the backdrop of the gorgeous lake which was a particular highlight. There is decadence, luxury and Italian style throughout the hotel with many gorgeous rooms to enjoy on the main hotel floor. The immaculate bedroom and sumptuous bathroom we had was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake from a wonderful balcony, a breathtaking view that is imprinted in our minds. For us a very special hotel in a beautiful location with professional exemplary friendly staff. The owner chats to guests every morning at breakfast which is a lovely personal touch. A welcome drink greets you on your arrival at the hotel and a minibar with largely soft drinks and beer is complementary and restocked every day. We also had a complementary bottle of wine in our room and every night with the turn down service some delicious petit fours appeared as an additional treat. The hotel can arrange a private boat from their own jetty to take you to the 3 Borromean islands which though an expensive luxury provides a tailored service that was extra special. A very warm thank you to All the staff who made our stay absolutely amazing. We would return in a heartbeat."
