Nothing in the immediate area has improved although there is a lot of building work going on and I believe it involves pedestrianising the harbour area which should be much more appealing.. the dropping off of luggage outside is a bit worrying as it involves stopping on yellow line’s although the hotel staff said it was ok to do so.. access to the the car park opposite in the premier now is much better.. the last two years was quite a trek especially when it rains. The only fault I could find in our room is the tiles in the shower are showing some mold on the grouting.. bacon too hard, cups not big enough for a good cup of tea at breakfast ..

Found the small entrance way from the main road very handy. staff were very polite and rooms clean. The wife was happy which is also a bonus. Happy days :)

The hotel was nice and staff good. Breakfast was excellent. But could not open window for sleeping and no instructions how to get fresh air in the room. I asked in reception and had a very bland nothing we can do about it response.

Shame you are a cashless place, as this did prove challenging for us given that you have no parking facilities and cash machine's did not accept cards. My friend had probelms parking and does not use IT very well. With only a few staff at reception that were also staffing the bar, they werent able to help me anymore than they did as they were very busy. Another guest tried to help but without cash it made it difficult. That's said, lovely room, lovely food, lovely breakfast and inslept well.

We’ve stayed here before and it’s been good but this trip the first room we had smelt terrible of urine so we asked to move. The second room was ok other than the aircon was either full on hot or full on cold - left the room at 20 degrees to go and and came back and it was like an oven, went and spoke to man a reception who wasn’t interested in helping, he did reset the aircon from the panel in the office and said that’s all he could do and we’d have to just see if it worked. Said the hotel was full and if it didn’t work we’d have to live with it. It was then on cold all night so in the morning it was freezing. Not good enough for a nearly new hotel

Was what it was
The room was standard but not worth the money for it, the shower had no door and the sink was covered in dry toothpaste. Matress was a bit firm for me but my partner loved it. Booked a room with a view but had no view at all just of the plant machinery. Breakfast was as to be expected bacon sausage and some strange coloured scrambled eggs. Great selection of continental breakfast options.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us taking the time to review your stay with us. I am sorry to hear there were aspects of your stay you were unhappy with. Unfortunately all of our shower doors have had to be removed due to safety concerns. I will pass your comments regarding the cleanliness of the room onto the housekeeping team so we can look to improve in this aspect. I am sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the view from your room, I have looked into your booking and it does look like on this occasion you have chosen a standard king room and unfortunately due to the location of the hotel some of our rooms have less desirable views. We try and avoid allocating these until last, but when we are busy we unfortunately have to make use of these rooms. Once again thank you for your valuable feedback, we will take this on board as we look to improve the guest experience.I hope this won't stop you from staying with us in the future. Kind Regards,

Brand new hotel located literally on bay front, lovely large rooms only criticism is the ridiculously soft pillows & the fridge didnt work. Apart from that, highly recommend a stay.

I love that you could get in the lift and beon street level, great with my mum's breathing problems. It was just unfortunate that they were digging up all the roads. Everything else was excellent especially the hotel. Second time in a Hampton Hilton wouldn't hesitate to be a third.

The room itself was very nice. Such a shame the staff don’t live up to the hotel experience. I was treated so badly by staff who threatened to kick me out on multiple occasions despite me not going against any of the hotel rules. I was escaping violence in my household and had to stay somewhere for a night before getting a train to a safe location, to go from that to a hotel where I hoped I would be able to relax and feel safe and be treated the way I was treated as absolutely unacceptable. To think the manager also knew of the situation as well as an officer involved spoke to the hotel. Really let me down and caused unnecessary anxiety and stress

Was greeted warmly by receptionist on arrival. Room was clean and excellent. Bed was comfortable and had very good sleep. Facilities of room was good. Evening meal menu was not large but what was on offer was a fair selection and what we had we enjoyed and was very tasty. Breakfast selection was comprehensive and was good. One guest was Gluton free and was well looked after by the staff. Thank you. Shame the car park is up many levels of steps from the hotel, OK for the fit and able but not good for elderly or disabled. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you to the excellent helpful staff at Torquay Hampton by Hilton.
