"I would not recommend this hotel. The view is amazing if you get a bridge view room HOWEVER for the price this hotel is kind of run down. We checked in at 430 and was told our room wasn’t ready. The staff member checking us in was super sweet and understanding however when we got to our room 45 mins later it seemed it had been cleaned in haste. The floor was FILTHY I’m talking chunks of stuff on the floor , splattered make up on the wall and there was pooling water on the surfaces, mold on the pillows, not enough towels and no shampoo. There also was noisy construction in the lobby and around the hotel that I think will be around for a while. Previous hotels I’ve stayed at warn you about that. Overall it was lacklustre for the price and I was extremely disappointed. Save your money and stay elsewhere."

"This was my second stay at Tavistock Hotel. Both times I stayed for about 7 nights. The double rooms are a good size, the bed is medium-firm and comfortable, and everything is very clean. The hotel is older and rooms can smell musty. But I was happy with my stay overall. Staff are very kind with early check-in. It's also convenient to stay in the area. If I am back in London again, I would easily choose Tavistock again! A comfortable mattress is not always a given with affordable London hotels!"

"Hotel is very old and in need of renovation Air con did not work and we had to get someone out to manually adjust it. Tv did not work someone came to look at it but couldn't get it to work Location is good and water/snacks items available to buy in the lobby Brrakfast was ok"

"I was attending an event which finished late, and I didn't want to travel home alone. So I looked for somewhere close by to stay which didn't break the bank. The Strand Palace Hotel offers single-bed rooms that come with a luxury shower room stocked with Rituals products, large wardrobe, table & chair, a desk and huge TV. Plus free wifi, bottle of water and bar of chocolate... and all for £110. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel room was quiet & comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. "

"Check in was smooth, room was quite small to what we’ve usually had and there were hairs in the bathroom. Room was street side on the 8th floor and the noise at night was mental. Other than that, hotel stay was fine. Bed is comfy and perfect easy location for us and what we wanted to do. Hell’s Kitchen also a bonus"
