It's fine
The apartment was a bit tired looking but otherwise fine for one night. Much cheaper than other apartments around. Location couldn't be better - right next to Digital nightclub. As for the deposit, previous reviews did irk me but I did get it refunded by 10 working days. Make sure to send them your bank details on arrival. Also their 26+ age policy really ought to be made clear on the listing.

Disappointing
Keys had to be picked up from a property 10 minutes away. Property was basic at best although in a good location for amenities around. £100 security deposit added and two weeks after check out still has not been refunded.

This place is a scam
I booked a 2 rooms apartment because I was going with 2 of my university girlfriends. They called me 2 days before and told me they “oversold the apartment and they will give me a different one”. They gave me a 1 room apartment that I have to share with my friends and obviously it was uncomfortable for the girls. Moreover, for the inconvenience they offer me to give me a refund of part of the money I paid (the apartment wasn’t worth what I paid) and when I ask them at the end of my holidays, they ignored my messages. Other thing to mention was that the kitchen wasn’t working and we had to cook in the microwave or going out. Basically in this place I lost money, I had uncomfortable moments and an uncomfortable place to sleep.

The instructions text was not sent to us correctly. So we couldn’t access the code and had to Watsapp again to receive the text. And when I asked Chris to ring me. He said he was not in his working times. Eventually got code to collect the key.The apartment was clean and tidy. But the remote had no batteries in it so couldn’t use the tv. Rooms were alittle cold.no hot water in sink.extremely noisy street windows were not noise proofed. Thanks

The place was perfectly based, right next to the city centre. The staff were really friendly and made sure for us to enjoy our stay.

Location wise the apartment was very central. The appointment was clean and we were met and checked in very efficiently. The light in the bathroom didn’t work and the lock on the bathroom door was missing. However if you want piece and quiet this is not the place for you on a Saturday night. With a night club opposite and unfortunately drunken people urinating on the front door.

Really good location near to central station and the boiler shop. Stayed here with friends when attending bongo bingo. Would stay here again and would recommend to others

One of bedroom doors lock broke and we had to wait all morning for a locksmith after being hung up on by the cleaner and the ****hole owner not answering the phone. Eventually ’chris’ the owner text back being very rude, and unhelpful. we were also blamed for the door getting locked and received no apology or anything of the sort.

Good little apartment with two doubles and a single bed. Great location 5 mins walk from the railway station and easy access to the metro arena and the city shops / bars. Condition was a little poor with a nearly fitted door which hadn’t been painted and raw plaster still around the frame. The whole apartment while clean enough needed a full clean with some dust build up. Good shower but very cheap matterases and a place that you can use as a base for a few days (space wise) but mainly focused towards a cheap place to stop for groups I think. Would use again for a night out but not in business.

Got a confirmation email that I was booked in. Then I got a random number text saying that the room wasn’t cleaned due to the weather. I asked for my money back. They couldn’t/wouldn’t refund it. They offered me a smaller room with no partial refund elsewhere. This wasn’t where I needed to be. I had to swell in the car which nearly killed me. These people are a joke.

Poorly managed, poorly maintained. Could be so much better with a bit of attention to detail. No bin or bin bags. 2 sets of crockery for a 4 person apartment.

Weekend away with the boys
Overall I was very happy with my experience staying in "The Bar". There was 4 of us staying in the apartment and it was very spacious and had everything that you would need. Even an extra fold-out bed in the storage cupboard, if needed. I was on the way down in the train and i received a message from a member of staff and a number to call if we had any problems. We arrived a bit earlier than was expected so i called the number i was given and we were able to get into the room without much delay or problems using the code we were given. On arrival to the room i was very pleasantly surprised. The member of staff i called gave the cleaners a call. Who came down to the apartment and gave us the 2 door keys and informed us everything we needed to know about the apartment itself and the area; including their recommendations for Clubs and where to eat, shop and so on. Once we were settled in their was no problems at all. Plenty clubs, pubs and things to do in the area. We had no trouble finding taxi's as they were normally just outside our front door. We were not bothered at all by any neighbours and i could not recommend any higher for couples or groups of friends away for a weekend.

In the description on Expedia it states that the apartment has a double and two single beds. When we arrived we were disappointed to find thatx two of us were expected to sleep on a sofa bed where no sheets provided and so we had to sleep on leather. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and one of the guests who stayed has suffered back ache due to this. Her quote was it would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor if that was clean. Also I am uncertain as to whether the bedding provided had been washed as it certainly did not smell fresh and was bundled into the airing cupboard along with other duvets with no covers but very concerning stains. There was also food left behind from the previous guests, visible debris on the floor and the bath mats in the washing machine. All of my belonging smelt of smoke on leaving. No light in bathroom so it was very difficult to use the bathroom without leaving the door open. These things have made me question whether the room had been cleaned before out stay. I suppose I am a little disappointed with the service provided when I have stayed in hotels such at the travel lodge and premiere inn at much lower rates where the rooms have been fully cleaned and prepared ready for my stay. Although the advertisement on Expedia stated we were staying in The Bar, we actually stayed in an apartement at a different address that did not have parking.
