"First of all, I wanna say don’t be alarmed by the lack of reviews. The hotel is new, it just opened 3 months ago. For the price, the quality is outstanding. Big room and you have everything you need. They change the towels daily and tidy up the room, which is unusual for hotels in Japan. Most hotels claim to have eco-friendly service and don’t offer daily housekeeping. There’s a lounge for guests open from 7 AM to midnight with snacks, pastries and drinks, including alcohol. "Great little hotel in a great area that was walking distance to Nishiki Market, Kyoto Castle, Ninja Samurai Museum, great restaurants and public transport. "We travelled from Canada and stayed at Hotel Intergate Kyoto for four nights. The hotel is in a good location, and the staff were excellent. We also appreciated the amenities, including the laundry facilities, massage chairs, and lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks. Breakfast was available at an additional cost. Unfortunately, we were assigned rooms on the second floor, where noise from outside activity was disruptive. The rooms had very little space to store clothing for a four-night stay, and the bathroom had no storage space at all. The beds were reasonably comfortable, although a little too firm for our preference. As with other hotels on this trip to Japan, we booked through Expedia and came away feeling that we had been assigned less desirable rooms. While we can’t say whether the booking method influenced the room allocation, these experiences have left us reluctant to use Expedia for future hotel bookings."
