Can't recommend it enough. The staff are amazing and so caring. The food was (particularly the steak tacos) lovely, and it's in walking distance to several great bars and coffee shops. We will definitely be coming back.

My only advice is don’t consume anything from the restaurant… they charged me 70$ us for 3 diet cokes The rest … staff was amazing , and hotel.

Read if AC is important to you
It's a good location, and nice place overall. Unfortunately the air conditioner in our room could not keep up with the Tulum summer temps at all, was a bit tough to sleep. I thought maybe it's just a Tulum thing, but the air conditioner where we stayed the next day in Tulum worked great. Also, this wasn't a huge deal for me, because room overall was clean, but the bathroom trash from previous guest was not emptied before we arrived, including a used baby diaper. If it was cheaper to stay here I might not mention these types of details but good to be aware if you are paying higher rates for a more premium hotel. I like their food, just be ready to pay big city prices.

A perfect little gem
What a lovely, quiet little gem! So glad we stayed here. The continental breakfast was just perfect and their shrimp tacos are delicious! We had the pool all to ourselves- a lovely oasis! Beach area is beautiful, service staff are wonderful.. can't say enough!

Chiringuito Tulum
We loved out stay at Chiringuito. This small boutique hotel was located at the end of the very busy hotel zone, so it was quiet and calm in the area. Some nice restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The beach was nice but the winds brought in alot of sea weed (normal for this area) The staff was very friendly, especially at the restaurant. The food and drinks at the hotel restaurant was really good! Our bathroom was a little dirty when we first arrived, but the rest of our stay was clean and we had no issues. The hotel pool is very small and not much for swimming. I would def recommend this hotel for couples.

The property was ok being on the beach was nice but had to check out early there was no running water for an entire day staff kept giving me the run around about when it would be fixed. Their towels we’re very thin and hard. All and all it was a disappointing stay especially for my boyfriends birthday. This hotel is priced and advertised as 4-5 star hotel at most it was 3. Disappointing wouldn’t come back.

I didn't like that they lied about free breakfast. Spent an extra $300 on breakfast. Bread and fruit was "free". Everything else you had to pay for. Then the lights go out and no shower water.

Dear Justin We are sorry to read that you did not enjoy fully your stay with us, and we are concerned by the score given to us, we are very sorry that you had such expectations about our breakfast, I would have liked you to let me know at the first moment so I could offer you an alternative like when the electricity company cut off the electricity from all over the street we did everything to compensate all our guests in the house, although the problem of the electricity was caused by external issues and beyond us, we seek the fastest way to solve it so nobody suffers the consequences and do not spend the night without electricity, it took us a few hours but finally, we were able to solve it. Our team strives daily to deliver great guest experiences so the next day we compensate everyone for this bad moment with a nice meal, as you can see if I had known I could have offered an alternative for your breakfast. Once more we are extremely sorry that the points mentioned have spoiled your stay to the extent reflected in this review.

I absolutely loved this property. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious, and peaceful. I especially loved the gentlemen at the front desk. They were friendly, pleasant, & extremely accomodating with every request and even packed us a lunch for the long bus ride to airport. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends. My only note would be to maybe add a TV to the room for those rainy days when you are stuck inside :)

We had a small issue with our room selection when we checked in (it didn't match the photos) but the staff was able to address our concerns quickly and remedy the situation. The resort staff are all very friendly and helpful. The lunch at the restaurant had some of the best food we had during our entire trip, would highly recommend enjoying it. It's extensive and we ordered it a few times and it was always fantastic. If we go back to Tulum we would at the very least visit the hotel for lunch, if we weren't able to get a room.

This resort is overpriced for what they actually provide. Breakfast was included but after the first morning (we paid extra to get a better breakfast) we ate at Be Tulum each morning thereafter. The room had a Nespresso machine but this was not complimentary - we found out on check out. The staff were pleasant. We would not stay again.

Cute, small hotel with a few opportunities
We enjoyed our stay at this cute and small hotel. Not a 4-star in my opinion. A few areas of improvements: 1. Parking: lot was across the street from hotel and half the time there was no space for us as they let workers park their cars there, too. Had to double park and leave key with security. 2. Beach: they only had 6 umbrellas in total and if you didn’t get there early you were out of luck. Same with beach towels - not enough and on two days we did not get any because they had run out 3. Restaurant: dinner menu is way overpriced and does not have a good selection. Also, the two times we ate there, they were out of the menu items we actually wanted to order. Twice at breakfast we were served cold (and probably old) coffee and it seemed to be a hassle asking for a simple second refill of coffee. 4. Noise: the hotel was getting work done at the terrace of the restaurant - not an issue in and of itself - but the hammering and sawing noise started at 7am every morning including on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We heard another couple complain about that with management and they were told there’s nothing they can do about that.

This was an amazing, relaxing, gorgeous place to be. So different from the hustle of Cancun. We cannot wait to come back. Know that you cannot throw paper in the toilet - this was new for me. The grounds, service and staff were great; big shout out to Israel for helping with excursions, big shout out to Gregorio, Norberto and countless others for serving us with a smile, patience and efficiency. Overall I want this to stay a quiet, unknown place just for us but know it’s worth it and you should stay here!! Well done Chiringuito ❤️❤️

We had the most incredible time at Chiringuito. After a long day of travel we arrived to a late dinner and had the restaurant to ourselves! We had the most incredible service and fish right off the boat (saw a video of the chef picking it). From there the service continued to be the best we had on our entire trip to Mexico or maybe ever. They were all such nice people and the food is the best around, seriously after we left and moved hotels due to avail we considered going back we missed the food and cocktails - the morning breakfast is nothing fancy but its all fresh and house made, different pastries daily, fruit, and amazing jams! Reading other reviews not sure what others are talking about, everyone that worked here spoke great english, no problems whatsoever. They have a DJ/live music on the beach sat/sun and the beach set up is the best, quieter area that down the road and you get to be closer to the ocean than a lot of other hotels (also means incredible star gazing at night). The front desk support was great, both nice but Isra happened to be there when we were planning our week and he hooked us up with great recs and offered to help us even after we had to move hotels. The location is great, not as loud or crowded but still walking to everything. Would def recommend to friends and go again! The rooms are clean, not many amenities and to be honest the beach is so nice we didn't use our private pool but it was simple, clean and cozy.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. We loved the included continental breakfast especially the service from Gregorio! Also the gentleman at the front desk, who was there every day was friendly and professional. Our only real complain was that the lightbulbs are very dim and it was almost impossible to read in the room. The road to the resort is a nightmare! It’s very dark walking at night and there are no sidewalks so bring a flashlight or use your cellphone so cars can see you. Every meal we ate, in the hotel or out was excellent. I especially like the smokehouse restaurant, very tasty, casual and inexpensive.

This is such a beautiful quaint place right off the beach. The food was 5 star, the decor gave off a modern Aztec vibe, and the service was excellent. We had the ocean view suite and it was magical. Highly recommend viewing all the beautiful stars at night and falling asleep to the ocean waves.

I am so happy that I booked Chiringuito Hotel for our stay in Tulum Beach. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful front desk staff, as well as a refreshing drink. We booked a Deluxe Terrace Room with Private Pool. The room was lovely and the extra outdoor space with the patio as well as the rooftop terrace with pool was great! The property is very nice and well kept. The restaurant on site is fantastic. The continental breakfast you get is perfect with lots of fresh fruit, breads and pastry, and yogurt, granola, jams and butter. If you're not a big breakfast eater it's great. And if you do love breakfast, the restaurant has wonderful dishes. The beach access is so easy, and the beach is really nice. There's full service on the beach from the restaurant. The location of the hotel is great. It's about a 15 min walk or 5 min taxi ride from the busy area (think Gitano, Arca etc.), which is nice. But it's super close to the trendy hotels and beach clubs of Be Tulum, Nomade and Casa Malca. There's also a small stretch of nice restaurants and shops that is a minute walk away. Overall I am so pleased with our stay and will definitely return to Chiringuito Tulum.

Great hotel, excellent service, bad property management and upkeep. From 11am to 6pm they worked on adding a structure for one small rental room. So the drilling and hammering and sawing noise just reverberated throughout the first four units. And if you were outside on your deck the noise bothered the first 8 units. Then the roof pool didn’t always work properly, light out, jets out, not full of water, paint peeling off, cloudy water, roof deck doesn’t allow water to run off, just puddles for you to slip on. Don’t get me wrong, the place is nice, and the service was excellent. But there’s only so much they can do when management directs them to put guests next to their construction zone. They should of just closed for a week or two, build out that extra room, and then tackle all the deferred maintenance issues the place had. Then they’d probably get higher ratings everywhere. Currently, they’re advertising for reviews like this. Also, great kitchen and cocktails! :-)

This was one if the best trips and experiences. The room, the beach, the FOOD (so healthy and fresh!). But particularly the staff were the best I have ever experienced. So service oriented and Jafhed was exceptionally good. Highly recommend this place!!!

This was amazing. A place where you can unplug and enjoy a great vacation. The hotel was eco friendly with amazing views. Honestly you have to see it. There’s one restaurant on site and the food was amazing. We had 2 waiters Sergio and Eduardo and they provided great service. Super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the area. Paco was the main guy at the front desk and he was great. Anything we needed he made it happen. Not just reservations and recommendations but if we needed something from a store he would find a way to get it to us so we didn’t have to leave. It was my first time in Mexico so I was a little skeptical of the safety but I felt really safe at this place. Thanks for a great experience guys! I hope to be back soon ❤️
