Lawton & Lauriston Court

Lawton & Lauriston Court

8/10 Good
"When we arrived staff were lovely and friendly. The family room we had was on the top floor so although its a family room its not ideal when you have a baby or toddlers as we had to leave our strollers in the car. When we got to our room the children found chocolate on the floor which we had to dispose of and we found rubbish still in the room. Some of the shampoo bottles were already open and were leaking on the shelf next to the bath. The room was nice apart from that. The beds were made well. It wasnt very convenient trying to get all our luggage through the dinning room to get to our room and as we were leaving also i bumped into someone having breakfast as i was trying to get our stuff out as the passage through was narrow. It was a really lovely atmosphere though all the staff were so helpful and friendly, they had food alternatives to support allergies. During our stay we found that as there is an outdoor sitting area a-lot of the time when we left or came back to the hotel people were smoking and its close to the entrance of the hotel so we had to walk past and with have young children and a baby with us we didn’t like breathing it in or having it around the children. I did inform staff of the state of our room and the gentleman at reception apologised and said he would ensure he sorted it. I found that over all it was a really lovely stay. It was really convenient as we were across from the beach and we got a parking permit so we could park for free."

"Received a friendly welcome. Appreciated the disability entrance. I didn't have an evening meal but enjoyed the breakfast. My bed was very comfortable but the shower cubicle was a bit tight. Bonus was the seagull who visited two days running!! Sitting on the ledge outside the window, staring in at me.😁"

"The lift could do with turbo-charging, it's very slow. The room was very hot, unfortunately the windows are rather old fashioned so not easy to open. and when the window is open the doors bang. When the window is closed the heating automatically comes on. No happy medium."

"Jaiden in reception was excellent !! Very helpful when our TV was broken and got us a new one and go it tuned in. Breakfast was very good but otherwise the food was very average and expensive for what it was !. Parking was expensive at £10 per day on the promenade and no parking available for me at the hotel. No changing rooms available for the pool, one of the reasons we chose this hotel so not very impressed with that as received no emails prior to coming about this. Thank you"

"Location is perfect! We landed a room with a balcony and wow - the views were amazing! Room 501 was great! Room was dated, but clean - balcony made it worth it for us ❤️ There isn’t parking but parking right by it. People were struggling to get spaces but we fell lucky x Llandudno is a gem! Highly recommend with lots to do x Take a boat to see the seals, go on the mini train, shop, cable cars, Alice in wonderland trail! It’s all lovely x"

"Everywhere was very clean other than the bath sealant was black in places and the grout between the tiles over the shower was dirty due to constant use but needs to be addressed. I appreciate this can’t be dealt with by the everyday cleaning but needs a deep clean. Also mucky behind tap on the bath. All the staff were very nice, spoke to everyone and were very helpful. Breakfast was good with a good variety of options both on the buffet and to order. The bar looked good but we didn’t need to use it."
