"Room was nice, bed was comfortable, breakfast had good selection. We brought our x2 dogs and as with a lot of other stays we’ve done felt a bit short changed with the £30 per dog fee.
Would recommend having a fridge in a dog friendly room as some dog food needs kept in a fridge. Otherwise had a nice stay and would likely stay again."

We were walking the St. Cuthbert’s Way and this B&B was the best we stayed at during our week. The rooms were bright and clean and the beds were comfortable and had lovely duvets and pillows. The bathrooms were clean and with added touches that were unexpected in a B&B. The breakfast was plentiful with a choice of fresh fruit and juice and full cooked breakfast. Definitely a place to return to.

Hopefully, we checked in early otherwise we would have stayed in the under-roof room, we changed and it was perfect. Staff, hotel, surroundings really we could recharge our batteries...Wonderful Scotland. Special mention for the food. Being French I am very jingoistic on the subject but this time I have to recognize that the meals on the menu, and the a la carte are amazing. We really came across new flavors, new meal presentation, you imagine beetroots jelly as decoration and to enhance the...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. The room itself was fantastic - on two levels with plenty of space, a large bed, sofa, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are completely soundproof. There was no noise from the bar or other rooms at...
