"Great rooms, spacious and well equipped. Spa was relaxing and has everything needed for some chill time. Great breakfast, well stocked bar. Just be careful if staying when there is a football match at the nearby Hill Dickinson stadium. The roads are closed all around making access to the hotel difficult and frustrating so try and check in avoiding games."
"Easy to find being right on the dock side. With on site parking we were able to park up and leave the car until ready to depart 2 days later.
Check in was smooth and easy. The staff were all friendly and helpful, pointing out points of interest and providing directions when needed. All the staff were great but in particular John the doorman was always ready for a chat with a smile.
We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable with good amenities. We made use of the pool and steam room to help us relax. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
There was a varied selection available, all freshly made, none of it being left to stand but rather being readily replenished as needed.
Although the hotel was on the docks next to a main thoroughfare and there was a huge concert going on the room was remarkably quiet.
As mentioned the hotel was on the docks so there was plenty to see and do within walking distance.
For Beatles fans the Cavern is easily reached but is very loud and crowded. We found a quieter less busy alternative in The Beatles story on Albert docks. Well worth a visit. Not to mention riding the ferry on the Mersey.
All in all we had an enjoyable stay and recommend the Plaza for its location, staff and amenities. "
"Absolutely amazing from check in to check out. We had a room on 13th floor views were fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding and only 5 minutes walk from the car park with a great 30%discount. Definitely be staying again...."
"The hotel is ideally situated. It's a 20 minute walk to the Liver Building and ferry terminal. It is close to Lime street station but our room was on 6th floor so we couldn't hear announcements or trains as reported in a previous review.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. The free parking is an added bonus! We would definitely stay here again."
"Ropewalks is so so friendly, the staff are absolute stars and always available if you need anything! The room was amazing, bigger than we expected and had everything we needed for the entire week.. housekeeping came in daily and it was lovely to come back too…. We unfortunately didn’t go for breakfast due to my husband getting a tooth abscess but he still didn’t want to leave lol
All i can honestly say is that we will definitely stay at ropewalks again, we even loved that if we had the doors open we could listen to the music from outside! There was even a fan provided in the room!
Thank you to everyone at ropewalks especially the girl that never seemed to go home bless her! We had an amazing week and we will be back!! "
