I was looking for a safe, clean budget hotel within walking distance of Camden music venues. That's exactly what I got. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable. It suited my needs perfectly.

Hotel picture on website is for the property being refurbised at the rear of the actual cornerhouse hotel? Friendly staff. Room booked was adequate size for stay period, but was a bit noisy with velux windows open due to main road outside. Double bed mattress was not very comfortable. Room decoration was a bit tired looking. Breakfast choices limited. Bus stops nearby and camden town 10-15 mins walk away. Overall, a good experience.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times now and it hasusually been very good. This time toilet would not flush TV did not work. Instead of china cups cutlery etc for breakfast, we had same food options but plastic cutlery, plastic bowls and clear plastic cups for Tea/coffee.

small but suffucient
The room was just sufficient given my size which is quite obese right now. The en suite bathroom just and so satisfied my needs. The room was clean, particularly the bathroom which I liked. The breakfast was continental but adequate. No complaints given the cost of this room. The downside to this stay was the location of the room without alift. Given my present health, the location on the second floor was somewhat arduous.

This hotel is basic but great for what we wanted.
Midway between Kentish Town and Camden this hotel has all we needed for a base for 2 nights. The room was small but had enough wardrobe space, a kettle, hairdryer and a surprisingly comfy bed. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. Room was clean . Breakfast was not the usual fry up but we really enjoyed it. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to have a good night's sleep and use as a base for day's out.

It's worth it!
good value for the money to be so close to Camden where we were going to a gig. disappointing that neither bedside lamp worked. bed comfy, shower good. all in all a very basic accommodation. would have been nice to get a cooked breakfast rather than help yourself continental. all in all for the money though, I would stay there again!!

the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful, the room was very warm so warm I slept on the bed not in the bed, no cooked breakfast, 4 types of cereal and bread you could toast if you like some cheese and ham, coffee and tea available.

The place was located far from London but in a nice area, so you have to think on transport fares. Very clean and quite room. The only issue no elevator and so many stairs all over

Bargain for the area, not very good breakfast
Great price for the location, room a bit small and bathroom not amazing but can't complain given the price. I was not a fan of the breakfast tho, basically toast and ham and cheese.

Very poor.
Terrible! Smoky hotel. Renovations taking place and workmen live in the rooms and they smoke in their rooms. Brought to the hotels attention was spoken too like I was overacting. I checked straight back out.

Convenient fair price hotel
Comfortable hotel and central near to Camden Town which includes 24 hrs front desk+ breakfast and tea/ coffee trays in room. Shared same building as Corner House Hotel.

Cheap price, cheap quality - but for £50...
Arrived in the evening - staff were a bit miserable but helped me park my car and check-in fine. Room itself was furnished fine, but was very hot and stuffy even with windows and fridge wide open all night (no fan/AC supplied). Bed was reasonably okay, not luxury but not a brick mattress either. Shower and bathroom reasonable. Breakfast was dissapointing - stated full breakfast on booking but was in fact nothing more than room temperature cartoned juice and some sweaty ham & cheese in a tub.

Welcome was fine, and bed was comfortable enough, but the general décor was rather tatty, and we weren't that impressed with the selection for breakfast. Overall, we feel the third star is hard earned.

The room and bathroom were bright, clean and the building was quiet. In a route where emergency vehicles with sirens went by, but that was a minor thing. Good value

My Stay at the Camden Hotel
My son and I stayed in this hotel, unfortunately it was not very comfortable the bed was almost touching the floor!! the pillow was flat, we asked for an extra blanket, none was provided. There was no wash cloth to take a bath. Curtains at the window dirty and hanging off the hooks. No elevator granted it is an old building, guest had to walk across the court yard, go up many flights of stairs. I have a knee problem so it was torture, going up and down those stairs!!!!

Best stay in London so far! Amazing value, great location, a lot of take aways around the corner, great bus links and really close to Camden tube station.

Camden Town Hotel
Great basic hotel. Very clean sheets and towels changed daily. Loved the area Camden Town/Market is awesome! Would definitely stay here again. Basic but comfortable. Staff happy to give info about buses etc. 29 into Trafalgar Square 253 into Euston where we travelled to/from. Bus stops outside hotel and all down Camden Street. Wee bit noisy lots of sirens but that didnt bother us at all. Must be a hospital nearby. Continental breakfast and lots of tea/ coffee. Over all 3.5/5

Poorly run hotel.
Firstly, the hotel has changed its name, which was confusing. Then a 20 minute wait for an unapologetic, half-asleep receptionist to saunter in, smelling strongly of marijuana. The room itself was okay but the 'bathroom' (no bath) was the size of an understairs cupboard. Impossible to turn around without hitting the walls or use the basin without opening the door. The breakfast included was cereal, ham and cheese, accompanied by instant coffee and was served (by one's self) in a draughty conservatory. Upon leaving, had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke emanating from the staff on a break. Good location though.

Simple out of the way hotel
The hotel was lovely and the staff was spectacular. Downside is that it's quite a walk from the station - but the bus system easily solves that problem. The area itself is a little grungey and dirty but if you're looking for great live music in London it's the place to be.

Do not go for the breakfast!
Day staff were decent, the night staff were lazy. I asked a question late at night and disturbed the staff member lounging on the sofa watching TV. Placed smelled of weed. The room was fine for 111 pounds, but the BREAKFAST was laughable. Do not go here if you expect an even half decent breakfast, just lazy staff hiding down the corridor who refer you to the owners if you complain about one cheese plate, one meat plate, toast and cereal. Just a terrible experience overall. Staff seemed lazy and could care less about anything. I feel bad for them s well if the owners are so cheap.

RATS FIGHTING AND SQUEALING OUTSIDE WINDOW!!
This was the SCARIEST night's stay we have ever had. Me and a friend booked a twin room for Saturday night , during which we were woken up around 2 am by fighting rats outside the window , which was at eye level. The room window was at ground level, you can see and hear the window. We could not go out at the 3 am to complain to the reception as we were worried that as soon as we open the window or door the rats would have ran in. When I complained to the receptionist he simply said anybody can claim there were rats outside the window , when I informed him that we filmed the rats fighting outside the window he simply said anybody can film rats outside any window, when I asked for the manager's name to speak to them , he said you can't have her name, she is a lady anyway!!! You can call tomorrow between 10 or 11 am !! it seemed although he had to deal with that particular complaint. Note to make I think the rat problem applied to rooms that are on outside building and not the main building . Which building you land in is pure luck when you arrive! The scariest experience in a hotel. Paid £100 for it to and they are unwilling to refund !

Hotel is in a residential area a few minutes easy walk from Kentish Town. Rooms quite small but clean and well-equipped (ours had a fridge). Fine for a one or two night stay, but rooms probably a bit small if you are staying longer.

20 mins walk from Camden. Had to wait for about 20 minutes before someone came to reception . room clean , with tea making , hair dryer TV and towels . Breakfast a welcome bonus , toast and cereal .

Our London Break - Four days of Touristing
Extremely welcoming and helpful staff, especially Galena, rooms, bedlinen, towels and en-suite very clean. Breakfast was self serve cereal, taost. tea/coffee, juices....iced water was a nice gesture ......adequate to start the day. Could not have wished for a more convenient location, although lots of traffic noise 24/7 this was blocked out by the excellent curtains, room radiator had to be turned off though. Overall a good place to stay for a few days Touristing

Big disappointment
Paid for a twin room in hotel for my daughter and her friend. They were given a room to the rear and away from the main building The room appeared to have no heating and was cold. The shower was dirty, the bed smelt of urine.

Love this hotel
I stayed here for a month in between moving properties. So I have seen this hotel on a wide spectrum of days on both busy and quiet days. All the staff are very nice, friendly and helpful and made my stay very comfortable throughout my stay, even going out of their way when I messed my reservation up. Would highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing stay in camden.
