Overall a fine stay, we where visiting london for a couple of days away before a potential lock down.
Upon arrival the hotel was clean and the reception staff where pleasant and friendly.
The room was adequate however sparse on available plug sockets - none next to the bedside tables - the tea/coffee making facilities where basic and the only place this could be plugged in was a floor socket making it a trip hazard due to the other furniture in the room restricting access to the available sockets.
The bed was clean, fresh linen and was comfortable if I was being critical I’d say it was a tad on the soft side. The carpets where stained in the odd places here and there but nothing too unpleasant.
The bathrooms facilities where fine, shower over bath with a separate sink/vanity unit, the controls where a little confusing for the shower and the bath tap came off in my hand at one point.
We had an issue with the television not working (not a big deal but it’s nice for an evening when you can’t sleep for sirens hurtling past) this was rectified on day 2 of our stay after reporting it to the reception team, housekeeping where lovely and friendly.
Very disappointing that the pool facilities where closed - bizarre given that swimming pools locally are open it would have been nice to have used the facilities we where paying for, that was one of the main attractions for picking our hotel.
