My room was right by the train tracks and was a filthy mess! So many stains on the wall, tea kettle, sink faucet and floor. The bed had hair and stains on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if house keeping never changed the bedding from the last guest! There was someone else’s food STILL in the fridge! Five minutes after I got to the room, the receptionist called to ask me was I OK with the room. When I explained to her, I didn’t know I was going to be next to the train tracks and that its a lot of noise outside PLUS the room didn’t seem very clean. The receptionist said she would speak to her manager. She called back two minutes later saying they have no control of the trains and that it typically stops running around 9 PM. What was the point of her asking how I feel about the room if she’s not gonna give any solutions!? The manager could’ve easily asked if I wanted to change rooms further away from the train tracks. But she didn’t because they truly don’t care and it’s just their policy to ask.
The next day I woke up with an insect on my pillow right by my head! I left for the day for 10 hours and when I came back, my room wasn’t cleaned. I had to go downstairs and let the receptionist know that no one cleaned my room and I needed fresh towels. The day before check out, I got a call from the receptionist asking how my stay was. I didn’t even waste my time explaining it because I know they weren’t going to do anything about it. I just decided to make my notes to post online.
