Rooms were a good size - we had two triple rooms through Expedia. Although they were the same price, one was noticeable larger than the other. They were full and had no more rooms so nothing we could do. No issue with cleanliness.
Hotel is convenient to St Pancras, which is why we stayed there. Good dining options close by, British Library, Lightbox art gallery. If you have mobility issues, there are about 8 steps to enter the hotel. Not sure if there’s a friendlier entrance?
Staff - called the front desk a few times and phone just kept ringing. Slight problem communicating because Eng was not their first language. No help was offered with our bags when coming and going up and down those stairs, even though I was obviously struggling.
Safety - area’s not bad, just use your common sense. Not sure if they had a photo of guests on their computers, but the annoyingly 2 times our cards were demagnetised, the front desk never asked for ID or proof I was actually a guest in the room I was asking a key for. They just handed over a new key for the rooms I asked for, no Q’s asked. Convenient for me but I could’ve been anyone?
Expedia policies- I didn’t need the second room for the second night but was unable to cancel it, even with a a lot of notice. To do this I had to completely cancel my booking and rebook, but I couldn’t be promised I’d get a room bc they were full. Silly I couldn’t release the room. If they were that full I’m sure they’d have no problem filling it.
