Expedia charged for breakfast but the hotel does not provide it (Covid). Shower ran very hot then very cold, presumably as rooms on lower floors took water. Bathroom mirror light not working. Table lamp not working - reception had no spare bulbs. Kettle on/off switch damaged.

The hotel staff were kind enough to accommodate our request of changing the room but the rooms are very less spacious and the toilet and shower are very small.

good news bad news
Service is non-existent. Location is perfect for Paddington railway station and Paddington tube station. The rooms are tiny. The bathroom is a little bigger than the airplane. Do not plan to spend any time at the hotel It was clean and quiet.

Advertised breakfast and when we checked in they said there not doing breakfast due to COVID yet all hotels around were serving breakfast ( we were going hotel indigo for breakfast quite expensive but very nice ). Towels in the room were never changed.

Piccolino hotel review
The check in was quick and hassle free. The room itself is basic but it was spacious enough for one person, the bathroom was a bit of a squeeze. I used the shower and the sink and there was no hot water in either. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. I did have a problem with checking out as when I left at 7.10am, there was a sign on the door saying back in 10 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and nobody showed up so I had to leave the key on the cabinet by the door as I had a train to catch. Maybe there should be a place you can leave keys if there are no staff at reception?

Good room in a great location.
The room was beautiful and clean, a great location near Hyde Park. My only complaint was that it said we had breakfast included in the price but when we arrived there was a sign on the desk saying no breakfast due to Coronvirus. I believe this should have been transparent at booking.

This is a very conveniently located hotel, just about 5 minutes walk from Padington Station in Central London area. This is a nice budget hotel with friendly staff, nice clean rooms and good breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms are definitely small and could be bigger, but considering overall conditions, this is a nice budget hotel with good value for money.

The room was beautiful but small. It was perfect for one night. I was mislead into believing there was free parking but for £30 we were able to park overnight just a few blocks away. Breakfast was unique. But then again I’m not from England so I’d not seen most of the offerings. Still delicious.

You will find everything u need for a B&B, staff is very friendly, decent breakfast. The hotel is on the small side so if you are using a wheelchair or a big pram you are bound to struggle a bit. Thankfully our room was on the ground floor so we did not have to climb the intimidating stairs.

Charming small old fashioned hotel a short walk to Paddington Station. Great place to stay even one evening if you are taking an early Heathrow Express train from Paddington to Heathrow Airport in the morning as I did. Very nice interaction with staff, room was fine, had everything I needed for an evening.

Lovely Stay
Friendly cosy hotel close to pubs restraunts and tube 5 minute walk. Very clean hotel. Good value for money would stay again.

The bed was amazing and I slept great. I was on the top floor but the front desk staff carried my bag all the way up as there was no elevator which in London is pretty common. The room was hot but there were fans. It was to be expected given London broke heat records that day. Every thing was super clean and it was the biggest room I’d gotten while staying at several hotels in London. Again small spaces are pretty much the norm in London. Wish I’d had this place for two nights rather than only one.

The location was perfect but I was given a basement room - adjacent to the breakfast dining room. The picture in the website showed a room with a window which appealed to me. There were no other rooms available.

The room was very small and hot but the hotel was clean and very well placed for the Hyde Park concert we were going to. Continental breakfast was really good. Just be aware that there is no lift and the upper rooms are up a lot of windey stairs.

Hot as Heck
The staff was great and very accommodating. We found the location perfect to many hot spots as well as local transportation. Bathrooms are small but they seem to be everywhere in London...lol The only negative to use was there is no lift and we were in room 15 located on the top floor. 113 stairs (yes i counted) and no air conditioning. Staff was nice enough to get us a second fan for the room but it was truly unbearable to even sleep and the trek up and down the stairs was exhausting. We would still stay again as we loved everything else, we'd just request a room on the first floor.

Close to the Paddington Tube station so easy to get around town. We just needed a clean and comfortable place to sleep for a few nights while we toured around. The room was small but who cares? It was comfortable and no noise issues.

Asim was extremely friendly and helpful to us. I traveled with my 3 daughters and stayed in room 3. Bedding was perfect and room was clean. There were lots of plugs, and we experienced good wifi. It is in a perfect location to a little market, and the tube. We loved the hot breakfast every morning. Such a perfect place to stay.
