Room was nice, clean and spacious. Only small complaint was that to eat in the restaurants in the resort was long waits time. Buffet food was good. "We recently had a 3 week stay in the Occidental Costa cancun. Check in and check out was quick and effortless. The terrace room we stayed in was immaculate and probably recently renovated. Shower was large and had a bench for the ladies. Always had hot water at any time. I found the beds extremely comfortable and the climate control for the rooms was perfect.The entire resort is maintained excellently. House keeping was excellent as well. room was always taken care of and water/beer/softdrinks in fridge replaced daily. I can't say enough about the staff, everyone was very friendly and polite and made us feel very welcome. The food was good and had plenty of options from fresh fruits to salads, pastries, chicken, fish, beef, pork, vegetables. They had a build your own pizza which is cooked in a stone oven as well as burgers, hotdogs, fries for the kids or picky eaters.There is a line up to get into the buffet... but only during peak times.. the line goes quick as the waiters and the staff that seat you are right on top of things to clear a table quick for the next guests. There is plenty of loungers around the pool and beach area. You still may want to get up earlier to get the premium sun locations. The beach area is smaller and we knew that coming there. The shows are held outdoors so it may get a bit noisy if you are relaxing in your room but they shutdown at exactly 10 pm, with the bar closing at 11 pm. This is more of a family and relaxing resort. We loved it!"

"Resort and room was very clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The restaurants were excellent especially the Asian fusion one. The entertainment was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Also a very family friendly resort. We really enjoyed our stay."

"We had such an amazing experience. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property until the moment we left. Each and every staff member was polite, accommodating, professional and genuinely happy to assist. The customer service was impeccable. Everything was very clean, mini fridge was restocked daily, the buffet was my favorite place to eat, and the pool in the elite club was heated. Some mixed drinks were a little watered down, but nothing an extra shot couldn't fix. Overall, I am extremely happy with our experience, I will recommend riu to my friends and we'll be back! Rooms Clean & spacious. Walkability There's a pharmacy directly across the street, restaurants and shops are in walking distance. "
