It was a shame the log burner sting was broken and therefore did not really work, on Host and Stay website it also said we had a washer - yet there was not. Would I stay again? No - as there was no WiFi (which for me is essential), no washing machine, a little care and attention on their log burner would make so much difference. "

"The house was lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with anything you might need. It is in a tranquil village and has plentiful off-road parking. The garden has an excellent view and is so peaceful to sit in. There is a park 2 minutes down the lane, a football field, and if you continue down the lane, there is a pond and a lovely walk around it. "I booked a superior room with a king sized bed. The bedroom was fine, but I was glad that I hadn't booked a standard bedroom, as it wasn't 'special' and was quite dark. We did see into some of the other bedrooms, which were very large, light and very lovely. The hotel itself, however is beautiful with very pretty gardens. The staff were lovely, and very helpful. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options to suit everyone. We didn't use the bar, as we spent most of our time in York.
