The staff were friendly and accommodating. However, we had to check in a bit late because our room was not ready. The dinner at the Deck was not good quality and there were limited menu options. The pool was beautiful! There was a party on the premises late, which made it difficult to sleep.

this was an amazing, beautiful and modern place to stay. no bugs, great working a/c, excellent food! staff were so very helpful and nice! Came to a different resort in cancun 2 years ago and the experience at NYX blew it out of the water. Food was great (Italian and umami) but the service was amazing. Mateo (waiter) at the Italian restaurant was a pleasure, the service was exceptional.

This is a smaller resort but had fantastic staff and service. Rooms weren't fancy, but they are well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the Deck restaurant with a different menu for every evening. The Magic Bar by the pool was staffed with excellent bar tenders who are fast and friendly. The pool staff were great also, and the ocean area was beautiful.

Beautiful and clean resort and good staff, Jojo was very nice and helpful when we checked in he briefed us with all the activities at the resort we had a great time there. Misael was a great server in the breakfast buffet , we were a party of 8 vacationers all happy....👍👍👍👍

The property is located on one of the main strips in Cancun. Once you are dropped off, there are about 15 steps to navigate to enter the main hotel. Once inside it is a very nice lobby area. There is a main bar in the lobby that does not open until 6 PM and the breakfast dining room is nearby. Note – The main lobby is turned into a bar/disco from 6 PM until midnight. Any rooms facing the main lobby will hear a great deal of noise as we were in room 514 and we asked to be moved the next day. Music is played every night and Annoying for us who came to relax on vacation. But the overall property is very nice; good size pool with a pool bar. Easy walk to the beach which contains white sand and very little seashells or rocks which I was surprised. You do get some seaweed in the mornings, but not a terrible amount. The Deck outside dining area has really good food and spectacular view. When by the pool get a hotdog… They are really done right! Our room was spacious, clean and had the amenities you need. Someone came in and cleaned and straightened up each day. If you are looking to stay a long weekend, being here 4 or 5 nights, this is a great place to stay! Staying any longer and you might run out of things to do, we arrive Saturday and left Thursday and felt it was a great vacation And a terrific spot!

Very crowded not enough chairs at the pool. There are two pools but only one really gets used. If they had bar service to the second pool maybe not everyone would just hang around the one pool. You have to go up to the bar to get drinks no one comes around. Theres a mini bar in the room that gets stocked with two bottles of water a day and when if you ask for more water they give you more but wont restock the bar for the next day. Really bothered me cuz the hotel next door had waiters that bring water. One night the pwoer was out for 3 hours. Overall it was decent for the price.

The staff were all around were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food is really good, especially Umami and Chianti although, are difficult to get reservations at. Smaller resort so limited to things but they really try to keep everyone having a good time in and around the pool. Service on the beach is really great. The servers work very hard all day everyday to accommodate all the guests with a smile on their face. I’d highly recommend staying here if you want the smaller resort vibes.

There are a few maintenance issues. One of 2 patio door locks was missing locking mechanism. Slow sink drain. Patio furniture falling apart. We love this hotel, food and service staff, and definitely will come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel NYX in Cancun. I chose the location close to a shopping area because I brought 2 teen girls. It gave them something to do when they didn't want to be at the beach/pool. The food was very good and there were plenty of options. Most of the staff was amazing. The temppanyaki dinner was very fun and delicious. My only complaint would be the difficulty in making “reservations” at Chianti and Umami. They tell you when you check in that you receive a complimentary dinner at one or both depending on the number of nights you stay. However, getting a reservation at one of these is nearly impossible unless you are ok with eating at 10pm. We got a reservation at Umami only because I pointed this out to the manager at the front desk. I observed at the temppanyaki dinner that there were 8 staff and only 9 of us dining.

My family of 3 (daughter is 17) booked a 6 night stay at Hotel NYX in a deluxe room. We booked our flight and hotel through Expedia. Upon check in they told us that our room has one king bed and sleeps three people. if we wanted room with two beds, we would have to upgrade to a suite for an extra 150$ USD per night. After further discussion, they were able to bring it down to $75 USD per night. Their room had a beautiful ocean view however, the air-conditioning barely worked. We left tips for cleaning lady each day but every afternoon we’d have to call down to front desk to request extra towels as we were only two towels (no washcloths or hand towels). The beds got made but the rooms in general not tidied (garbage left). As for restaurants, there are 3 options (buffet, Japanese, Italian). However you are only allowed to book hibachi once and Italian twice. The food at the Italian was amazing, the service excellent but the whole restaurant was empty both times we went yet when people would come to ask to dine in the servers told them it was full. The Japanese hibachi was just like any other hibachi restaurant, nothing special but service here was just odd. They offered you a welcome drink but you’re not allowed to ask for another one. You’re only allowed to have one. If you want something else to drink they had wine or beer but not allowed a second welcome drink. If you have your reservation at the hibachi you’re not allowed to order sushi or anything else off the menu

Upon your arrival there was only deluxe with one king size bed, as you wish to have two beds right away, their only solution was to offer you an upgrade to one of the fewer Junior suite with two beds that we have. Pros: NYX Hotel has a good location, the beach is nice and although the waves are bigger at NYX the beach to the south is calmer, it’s also a short walk to La Isla. The price for NYX was really great! Cons: We were gobsmacked at check-in when they didn’t have the two bed room we paid for but for an extra 1000 pesos they could somehow fix it. So my friend and I opted to sleep together in a king bd the first night and then they transferred us to a two bed room the rest of our stay. We had to trust that they would be good to their word on eventually getting us to the proper accommodations and they did so…I give them credit for that but the whole situation was rather disconcerting. Making reservations for their two theme restaurants is much more complicated than it should be but we did get to eat at both the Italian and Japanese which was better than we expected. The only other thing that I would comment on is the sparseness of the rooms. Our large room had only one chair, one luggage stand and a small table along with two nightstands. The only mirror was above the sink in the bathroom. If just another chair was added along with a mirror in the room itself and one more luggage stand that would be wonderful. Also it would be nice to have some grab bars in the shower for safety that could also be purposed to hang wet swim suits. So just a few things that wouldn’t be too costly make such a difference. Great staff as was the guacamole and fish and shrimp tacos.
