Mexico and Central America Beach Holidays

It was good but not the best. I saw that some of the restaurants needed to be maintained. For example the walls on one of the restaurants paint job went only half way and you can easily tell that they didn’t do a good job. Several Staff members were very nice. Some of them were not, the lady in the gift shop was very rude to me. I went to ask if I could have change for a $500 pesos for tips and she rudely told me if I didn’t know there was a coin exchange place next to the hotel. I didn’t, I had just arrived. I know there is two ladies but the lady with the short kind of curly hair. Anyways maybe she was having a bad day. Then the Mexican restaurant food was not good at all. We were only there for three days and the two days the Dj didn’t arrive on Thursday and karaoke was skipped on Saturday. The entertainment was not good. The guys were very nice but the show and production looked poorly. People from other parts of the country want to experience Mexican culture entertainment not USA stuff that is not good at The room was nice and clean which is a big plus. The bartender s Rafael y Christian were super nice and friendly to every one. And the Candlelight show on Thursday was amazing loved that, better than the show on the main hotel. Also having the show so early was very inconvenient because of the reservations at the restaurants are very limited and they take 30 to an hour to bring your food. They asked me if I wanted to become a member and I absolutely did not want to.

The place was ok, is big resort only 3 restaurants good food in the restaurant, small buffet not too much variety of food. Front desk were not helpful at all. We got 2 full beds instead of Queen bed when we complained the tell us we have to wait till next day and then check out by 12 and then we can get the write room at 3:00 . What an hassle. Finely next day they upgrade the room and we get happy.

Secrets claimed this is a "New" property, only part of the building is new and that area is reserved for their "Preferred club members". So the rest of the building has had some updates and it's OK, but not NEW. Very disappointed in their claims. Some of the staff seem to have a distinct problem with what a 'proper dress sandal is' My wife wore the same dress sandal to 6 restaurants and never had a problem. The last night of our stay a restaurant we had been to before turned us away saying her sandal wasn't up to their dress code. Very rude and not helpful at all.
