Latin Quarter Hotel Guide - Cheap Hotels in Latin Quarter, Galway

"The Nox Hotel is a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, tastefully decoratored and has a large car park. The staff are very friendly, discreet and helpful. The breakfast is beyond perfect with lots of choices of fruit, cereals, juices, pastries etc. The dining area is perfectly located and the evening meal and 24 hour menu are competitively priced and offer good choices. My only negative is its position to travellers (Senior) who want to visit Galway City as the 407 bus is a short away and costs 1.90 euros p/p/each way and a taxi anywhere between 7.50-13.50 euros per trip; so unless you are travelling by car or en-tour it can be very expensive to commuite daily...too far to keep returning to the hotel during the day- so if you go out to Galway etc. you really need to stay out The Nox Hotel location is on an Industrial estate, retail park, busy roads and scrub land to housing....therefore I understand although im not sure if this is about the hotel its location and our means of communting being by foot meant we had to walk past some very scruffy, derelict areas which is not very welcoming - however the hotel entrance and grounds are ok"

"Main issue was that the hotel charges residents for parking. This is just unacceptable. They offer a reduced parking rate for guests but just not good enough. Should be included with room. When I complained upon check in. they removed the fee. Also attended a ball at the hotel. Know mass produced meals will never be of high standard but their main course steak meal was of quite poor standard"

"Location was perfect far enough off the square i.e about 50 feet to be quiet at night but easily accessible to all the downtown fun stuff on Quay Street. Our room is reasonably sized at a very nice bed and excellent shower and the staff was super friendly. Stumbling in at 3:00 a.m. from a late night session we were offered Waters all around as the desk staff got the door. Excellent for the price and I would recommend it!"
