"The best food I ’ve had at an all inclusive, the staff are so wonderful, they are constantly updating and cleaning. We love The Excellence, this was our third stay and we will continue going. Honestly book this trip!!"

"Room was cleaned immaculately by resort staff everyday. We had a walkout pool room, and the pool was clean staff came by regularly to offer to get drinks. Bartenders at the swim up bar were awesome!! The resort is huge but by the second day you can pretty much figure it out. The resort is a little dated, but still great. Be careful on the tile floors, they can be a little slick. Overall, had a great time, EVERY hotel staff member whether in the restaurants, bars, concierge, or cleaning staff were awesome. Special shout out to Rafael in the buffet restaurant. He was AWESOME!!!"

"We had a great stay, we thought the evening entertainment could of been better, karaoke isn’t great entertainment for us. We loved water volleyball and wish they did it more often. Staff were all so nice. Wish the front desk warned us about shops on the Main Street would say they were our waiter from the hotel, when we asked front desk about money exchange and they sent us down the road, first timers in Mexico a lesson learned. A bit disappointed with the ocean in front of resort rocky and small beach area because of cabanas, but pool was good enough for us. Food was good a bit repetitive after a week. Over all good stay but would try another resort for new experiences."

"It was a great place to stay. The only turn away is the sargass other than that we had a blast. I hate the foam party got canceled because of the weather. But other than that perfect. Also I’d recommend the mango shots from the bar it’s two brothers who are waiters there and they will make sure you have a great time."

"Book this location because it was close to the airport for my last day in Cancun and everything was exceptional. The staff were very nice and also really accommodating. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was also tasty. Would definitely book again."

"We arrived in Cancún a day earlier than planned, so we booked one night at Ava Resort before transferring to our main stay. Honestly, after that one night, I kind of wished we had booked longer! The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Everything was clean, the grounds were taken care of, and the whole property had a really nice, relaxed feel. We were also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, which was such a nice touch. We definitely weren’t expecting it, so it made our one-night stay feel extra special. I know upgrades aren’t something every guest should expect, but we were very grateful for ours! The staff were great from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the service felt genuine rather than overly formal. We had dinner at Veranda, and the service there was honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Our server was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and just made the experience really enjoyable. After traveling, it was exactly the kind of dinner we needed. We also had a chance to enjoy the pool and some of the resort amenities, and everything was clean and in great condition. Even though we were only there for one night, we got a really good feel for the property. It was technically just our “extra” night before heading to our main resort, but Ava definitely started the trip off on a high note. We left thinking we could have easily stayed another few nights. 10/10 from us. 🌴☀️ Would definitely come back!"

"It was a great experience. The most friendly staff I’ve experienced at an all inclusive. The food was good in the restaurants, but a little slow. The buffet was excellent. Room service was great service, but terrible food. Super expensive. Don’t forget your sunblock. I spent $35 on sunblock. Markup higher than I’ve ever seen and I travel a lot. Beautiful spa, but terrible pedicure. The massage was really good though and the ambiance was even better. Do a package of you go. I think some of the event staff were a little low energy compared to my previous experiences but it was still a lot of fun and a great overall experience. I would travel here again."

"We stayed here at the Princess Sunset hotel in Playa Del Carmen. Their architecture, operations, and the food were top notch. Everything went really smooth with our stay. Most of all, their staff was soooo warm and hospitable that it has truly left such a great impression to me for Mexico. The only critique I have is that I wish there was a night swim option. Perhaps just a main pool with two lifeguards? However, it’s understandable that theres liability for a family resort. Overall, we had such an amazing stay!!! And would highly recommend this resort to first time visitors to Mexico."
Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"The usual " I wanted to give it 5 stars" which the resort definitely deserves... But I am a first traveler and was excited to check out this resort ( the rooftop infinity pool was awesome - recommended. But when I got to my room I was expecting to see this beautiful view (which it was) it was the fact that my room looked right down on a big patch of sand that was a construction site. The lesson learned I will next time call the property and ask about anything I should know about the room But recommend the resort!!!"
