Everything was amazing! I will definitely give this experience 5 stars. The only small issue was with the vegetarian food. Our group had 10 people, and everyone was vegetarian. The staff made sure to provide vegetarian options at every meal, which we truly appreciated. However, the taste of some of the dishes was a bit unusual. That said, we still enjoyed the trip a lot and were happy to compromise. For future trips, it would be great if you could include more flavorful and varied vegetarian options as well. We were greeted at the resort as a VIP due our Expedia status and after checking in, we were escorted to our room where a VIP banner was hung on the door and macrons were waiting as a special welcome treat. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony facing the lagoon side (street side with some road noise). The mini fridge was stocked with waters, some sodas, and some beers and was replenished daily. We had no trouble securing dinner reservations each night as long as we planned the day ahead.Our personal favorite was Da Vinci, followed by La Vista, and then Pina Colada. Breakfast was a fairly standard buffet at either of two locations. We did lunch poolside each day with our favorite, by far, being the Sushi Bar. They had chicken and veggie for those of us that aren't seafood lovers as well. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor bar options for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and the coffee shop was pretty much always available for drink or a sweet treat. Lounge chairs in the shade were hard to come by but the pools were nice. Beach side seating was also available. The seaweed was thick during our visit but not the resort's fault. The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars overall was a strange encounter where I watched (from the hallway to the outside) a worker seemingly kissing each buffet plate while setting up for dinner in La Paloma. I wish I had taken a video but I was so shocked, especially when he turned to me and smiled as though this was normal.

I had 2 ocean view suites.. both had so many ants... for the whole week.. the shower water was sometimes cold...also room service would not check and refull the fridges and all.. they would ask us to check. ..the restaurant food was ok not the best.. many servers had a bad attitude...and i did experience some discrimination..which was very surprising to me..I was disappointed. However, the excellence resort that I lived in twice before was very very nice. I would not compare these 2 resorts in any way... I had set my expectations too high and I was so excited to bring my entire family to the finest resort...I told them how awesome it would be but unfortunately it was not at all how I had expected or what I told the rest of my family. I dont think I will be returning to the finest.
