"Situated well. Staff ok. Room stinked really badly from the drain in the shower. I was exhausted so I shut the door, opened the window and slept. Workmen woke me up from outside, minimal sleep. Went to breakfast, good choice but had to wait in long Q 10 minutes. Tell chef boiled eggs should be put in non metal serving container then the yolks wont look green/grey. I had the single delux room, really it should be cleaning cupboard. When returning from breakfast, a man holding a toolbox came out of my room without permission from me to be there hadn't said anything so they already knew there was a problem. Very poor show. I want my money back."

"This was hands-down the best experience I’ve had in hotel. A bit of background, I became disabled a few years ago, but previously I worked as a chef and also in a hotel. I asked for an accessible room if that was available. At the time I still was pretty unsure about London area, but I imagine it would have been very inaccessible as an older city. That said the staff, and clearly the owners doing the renovations had some accessibility in mind. The staff all learned how to use the ramp that they have on site to assist me and never once made me feel like it was an inconvenience. The food was spectacular! We had a very good sampling of the menu, but both me and my husband fell in love with their sticky toffee pudding I am still dreaming about it. The breakfast was extremely well done. Our server for dinner mentioned that it was “not to be missed“ and I’m so glad we took her advice. Every single staff member that we interacted with was so kind and so helpful, but I do want to give a shout out to John, who was there from the moment we arrived and seemed to possibly stay there himself because we never didn’t see him 😂 I only had to wave him through the window for him to come running with the ramp to gain access into my room. We will definitely be back next time we’re in London I can’t imagine seeing anywhere else."

"I chose this hotel because of its location and the good reviews. I paid nearly $400 for two nights, including the additional $30 they charged me for an early check-in. I didn’t mind paying that. The room smelled strongly of dampness. It was small, although at least the bathroom seemed renovated. I barely spent any time at the hotel since I was out sightseeing most of the day. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of leaving my carry-on suitcase open on the bed with my clothes inside. Two days later, I traveled to Paris — and what a horrible surprise when I arrived. As soon as I opened my suitcase, I saw a small round insect and immediately realized it was a bed bug. I rushed to kill it. I shook out all of my clothes and ended up doing laundry at 11 PM because I was terrified there might be more. Room G10 has bed bugs. Please inspect it and call pest control immediately because this is a serious issue. Imagine arriving at your next destination and discovering this in your luggage. Honestly, I cannot recommend this hotel."

"This hotel refused to issue a refund despite clear evidence that the reservation was made without the account holder’s authorisation. Hotels.com contacted the property directly and explained the situation in detail, including that the booking was not made by me and that I was in Stockholm at the time. The hotel acknowledged this but chose to proceed strictly under their policy and retain the payment. No one stayed at the property, and the reservation was never used. Despite being fully informed of the circumstances, the hotel declined to make any exception or show discretion. If a hotel is unwilling to act reasonably in a situation involving an unauthorised transaction, it raises concerns about how they handle customer issues more broadly. I would advise caution and not to rely on goodwill or flexibility should any issue arise."

"I cannot recommend this hotel for disabled travellers or those travelling with disabled people. Unfortunately, the hotel misunderstands the laws set out in the Equalities Act of 2010. When pointed out the misunderstanding there was an unfortunate instance with the hotel manager not accepting that he had misunderstood the law. Because of this issue I was forced to find alternative accommodation. I found that the Manager’s inability to accommodate me and his refusal to accept that he had misunderstood the law. It is one of the hotels in that area with a step free entrance for wheelchair guests. As I am concerned about the misunderstanding when the law is very clear. If you are considering staying here as a disabled, I would recommend working with Expedia to make sure you’re going to get access. I did call the previous night to confirm. It didn’t seem to make a difference. I would like to mention that as a guest it is your decision where to stay. When deciding where to stay knowing the difficulties I experienced be taken into account when deciding where to stay."
