Valentin Imperial Rivera Maya All Inclusive - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"The staff are what makes Valentin so special! Yes, the rooms and the grounds are beautiful and the food is outstanding, but the staff are the shining stars! At Mar Tierra there’s the manager, Sam, who is amazing! The waitstaff including Albino, Abraham, Isidro, Gabino, Felipe, and Miguel are the BEST!!!! They are the reason we keep returning! This was our 13th visit to Valentin!"

Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"What I liked the most: -The "nature" vibes of the hotel. Feels like you're in a "mini jungle". My 4 year old enjoyed walking and seeing different types of tropical habit animals. I liked the proximity to Xcaret park. Shows/activities were fun and even though my child did not want to stay at the kids club, I heard great things. What I disliked the most: Compared to other resorts I've been, the service was not the best though. In other similar resorts, they have servers coming to you all the time asking you if you need any drinks or snacks. At Occidental, they ask you maybe once and then they never come again. Same with buffets, they ask you one time what you want to drink when they first seat you, and then they never come again unless you go find them or call them. Also, the food is not bad but it's not the best. I don't usually have high expectations for buffet style food but in restaurants I expect them to be better. During my stay, three a la carte restaurants were open: Los Olivos (Italian/Mediterranean), Steak House (meats), La Hacienda (Mexican). The Oriental was closed all week. Los Olivos was the only one I would say was good. The other two (the Mexican and the Steakhouse) were basically buffet food disguised as "specialty restaurant" food. The Mexican food options were not a good selection and the meat quality in the Steakhouse was not good. Having said that, the resort was great. I had a great experience and I would recommend it to friends and family with children."

Holiday Inn Club Vacations The Royal Haciendas by IHG - All inclusive

8/10 Good

"Instalaciones muy buenas y grandes, ambiente muy tranquilo, staff siempre pendiente y amable. la comida es buena, los menu a la carta son muy buenos. Únicamente la playa no es la mejor, la tratan de mantener bien, pero es limitada."

Ocean Riviera Paradise All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"Was in a Privilege Master Suite oceanfront Rooftop. Room was very nice, yes there is work that needs done, mainly to the wooden doors, they are pretty beat up, my guess is from the amount of moisture in the room. all of the art that was in the room has been removed except for 1 piece which obviously has moisture damage to it. They do have dehumidifiers in the living and bedroom that needs to be emptied out several times a day, usually fills up within a few hours. Enjoyed the jacuzzi on the rooftop with the amazing view, used it every morning and a couple of evenings. The oceanfront pool is nice, had no complaints along with the pool outside of building 4 which is the oceanfront building. The only other pool we used is the Privilege pool. It definitely needs some work, and would suggest water shoes in that pool, a lot of loose gravel / sand which is what the walls and floor are made of. I was not impressed with the buffet but we ate at all of the restaurants except for the Mexican and they were all very good. Every morning at Privilege restaurant had the eggs benedict, along with a couple of items from their buffet. Would I return, yes, especially if they fixed the flooring of the Privilege pool. Oh and drinks, if your Privilege, you need to make sure to ask for the top shelf liquor if you want it, if not they will pour the cheap stuff."
