"Staying at the Minn Karasuma Gojo Kyoto Station, was one of the best parts of our trip. The location was convenient to Kyoto Station, there were lots of coffee shops around and the only a short walk to a grocery store. The accommodations had everything we needed, plates, cups, glasses, cookware and a washer/dryer with detergent. It was super clean and quiet, with plenty of space for our family to stretch out and not be on top of each other. Would definitely stay there again."

"Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The staff set the gold standard for hospitality—warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. Our Two Twin Room with a balcony was fantastic. It was super spacious, beautifully lit, and had great air conditioning. The bathroom was huge, and having two sinks made a massive difference. Sitting out on the balcony was such a treat. Everything about this stay was 10/10. Highly, highly recommend! Also the gym was very nice to have...

"Comfortable, well-located house in a quiet residential alley. The house was quite cold when I arrived, and it took some time to heat up. The place doesn’t get much sunlight. Cool to stay in a machiya. Stairs are narrow and more like a ladder, but easily navigable for younger and smaller bodies. For the price there are more comfortable and equally well situated places around. "

"The property is located on a very busy street so with thin walls and windows we struggled to get a good sleep. The sunrise is quite early and the windows don’t have any curtains so bring eye masks. There is an air conditioner in one room, the other room gets very hot. We discovered there were bugs as we woke up with bugs bites, not sure if it were mosquitoes or bed bugs. The beds and pillows are quite hard and only one pillow per bed. No washing machine and the house is quite away from anything....

"The only thing that could have been better were the bed sizes. We are a family of 4 I am 6'2 242 lbs and my wife and kids are small in size and height 5ft and under and we barely fit in the 2 beds provided. Other than that this hotel is great and is close to everything. From here we were able to reach all train and bus stops to move freely around Kyoto and there is the main post office nearby at Kyoto station. The onsen was amazing and after a long day of walking it truly relaxes you and sets you up nicely for bed. The sauna is set at 200 degrees Fahrenheit and will really get any impurities out of you so if you do get sick get in there quick. All in all a great stay."

"I had three weeks in Japan and my four nights here were the best stays of the trip. It’s nothing more than a five minute stroll from Kyoto station which makes moving around the city easy, and is walking distance from a plethora of places to eat and drink, as well multiple city attractions. The reception staff are kind and exceptionally polite, the room was beautiful and spacious with a beautiful view across the city; it smelt good and it was maintained daily to a fantastic standard amongst our bags and clutter. Sometimes it’s easy to try and avoid chain hotels but this one felt different, it felt full of love and appreciation for guests. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you won’t regret it."
